No! Our overlays remain at a comfortable surface temperature in the hot summer months, unlike natural stone, which absorbs and retains solar energy.
All of our concrete overlay finishes are considered “anti-slip” due to the texture of the overlay. For additional slip resistance, we can also incorporate a “non-skid” additive into the sealant coat.
The joy of concrete is that the maintenance is low! The appearance of your concrete overlay can be preserved with basic care and our “Wash & Seal Service” every 2–3 years. In comparison, pavers and natural stone often require replacement, leveling, refilling of joints with sand, and weed control.
